why we are swimming
Days Left Before the Swim
We decided to enter the 15th Annual Alcatraz Invitational last year when we met up for a family visit. Both of us wanted to get fit and had recently started swimming again. We thought that entering this event together, as sisters, would give us a goal and help us to motivate each other.
Since then a close friend was diagnosed with Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that accounts for only 1% of adult cancers. We decided that our swim is an opportunity to help raise money for the Sarcoma Initiative.
We hope that with your support we can contribute towards research to find better treatments for Sarcoma patients.
Thank you for your help,
